* Would you go ahead and order the 2020 anyway and hope all the changes are a good thing and not a bad thing? * What do you think of the changes? Good? Bad? What would you do? (Especially those with more experience than I with the current Staccato P Duo or other STI pistols). If there was anything that I hoped they would change it would have been for a thinner plate for the optic mounting so they could get an RMR deeper. My concern is that sometimes when folks change things they make it worse and not better. I watched a sort of "first look" video from 10-8 performance on the 2020 model and they claim it will be even more flat shooting.
STACCATO P DUO FULL
* The dust cover used to be full pic rail but now, at least from the photos, it looks like maybe they did like the CZ Shadow and just had a one slot style pic rail (Hard to see for me in the pics though). * Removed the flared magwell for one that appears to be less flared They put a big star on it in the stippling. * Looks like they changed their treebark pattern stippled grips to a different stipple and left some open spots where there is no stippling. * Changed the cosmetics of the front of the slide and traded a few of the front slide serrations for a different cut to the front of the slide (I'm not sure what the technical term for that is). Just comparing the entries on the website it looks like they. Every review seemed to comment on how "fast" the pistol was. I really was excited about how flat and soft shooting people said it was. What I didn't expect is that they'd change the 2020 Staccato P Duo enough to make it quite a bit different (at least in my eyes) then the current 2019 one that all the reviews and YouTube videos were about. Its going to take 3-4 months though.īy this time though, STI had posted the 2020 lineup on its website.

I sold a couple pistols I don't shoot anymore and decided to place an order for one.

The reviews & hands-on shooting I'd read about here on Arf, other places, and the YouTube videos I'd seen really echoed the things I was looking for. It sounded like exactly what I was looking for - A duty-type pistol with competition features. However, the Staccato P had grabbed my interest. They've always been way out of my price range and I didn't really have a need for a race gun. What drop in velocity will I see? During testing, we saw on average of 80fps drop between a common variety of range and defense ammo.ĭoes this void my factory warranty? Yes it does.I don't have any experience with STI pistols or 2011's. What types of ammo will it cycle? During testing, we ran 90% of the most commonly available range/defense ammo without issue. We only coat the outside of the slide and tape off the inside. We are looking into DLC but the wait times are insane. We have to re-coat the exposed area on the slide. Please watch our socials for further announcements.Ĭan I keep my factory finish on the slide? At this time no. This is only available on that slide at this time.
